Welcome to the Dufferin Centre

Built by The Acton Agricultural Society, after several years of planning, the Centre officially opened during the Annual Fall Fair in September 2007. The building was supported by generous donations from business and individuals in Halton Hills and beyond. The many plaques proudly displayed in the lobby are a permanent reminder of the generosity of these businesses and individuals.

The Dufferin Centre gratefully acknowledges the Town of Halton Hills which provided both a grant and long term financing arrangements. The Centre is located on municipal property under a long term operating agreement with the Town of Halton Hills. The Dufferin Rural Heritage Community Centre building is owned and operated by The Acton Agricultural Society.

The Centre includes a 21,600 square foot indoor sports field. Additional facilities include a picturesque meeting room (suitable for up to 30 people), offices, storage, mechanical, and washroom facilities.

The new home of the Acton Agricultural Society houses both homecraft exhibits and entertainment during the Society's Annual Fall Fair, which is held annually during the third weekend in September.

During our first year of operation players and parents were delighted with the new building which was a badly needed facility for the youth of Halton Hills. The centre also hosts men's, women's and co-ed recreational leagues. Birthday parties are also a popular activity. The parent(s) rent the field time and we provide the meeting room as part of the package.

Soccer, field lacrosse, football, baseball teams as well as walking and jogging groups from Halton Hills and surrounding municipalities have all made good use of the facility.

We welcome inquiries from trade shows, other exhibit type activities, and organizations looking for a pillar-free large surface.
